Our tray sealing machines seal a rigid tray with product inside, and heat seals a plastic film to the tray’s flange. Complete Control & Customization of Tray Movement
The Trave Sinfonia uses a magnetic rail to carry independent trolleys (the Nests), which can be controlled with pinpoint accuracy via software. The magnetic transport system has been incorporated in order to achieve your goals of flexibility, speed, precision and control. With this cutting-edge technology, manufacturing processes are optimized for maximum efficiency and adaptability. The Nests on the magnetic rail reduce transition points and increase the control of every single tray. The flawless position control ensures high speed transport and quick reconfigurations within the system. Each tray is delivered to its destination with unparalleled accuracy and speed, which offers a significant increase in productivity and unmatched flexibility to accommodate a wide range of products. This allows you to achieve maximum possible throughput.
Reduced Downtime from Availability
Downtimes caused by inefficiencies linked to tray transitions and transfer points are reduced. Any issues with spacing and the pusher arms or transfer arms transferring the trays into the tool are eliminated. With the nests and track system, the nest will automatically present themselves to the loading station that’s available. If you have efficiency loss with one robot or another, it doesn’t drop the whole line, it only drops the efficiency of that one robot and and nests will continue to present themselves two robots that are available.
Smaller footprint
Even though it’s our largest tray sealer, the Trave Sinfonia delivers the same high-quality G.Mondini sealing in a significantly reduced space. Because of the nests, lanes don’t exist anymore, and the nests carry some configuration of trays, whether it’s one or three across, a two by two, etc. You can take more advantage of the width of the sealer. Historically, you were a bit limited in terms of how you could set up the line, by the the longest linear run you have available in your space. With the track system, you can do 90 degree turns. Around the left, the right, any shape you want, as long as it is a loop.
Optimized Modularity & Automation
Every different station of the line can work independently from the other, maximizing the performance of each one. Increased modularity means decreased machine complexity – with a minimal amount of extraneous parts – and a reduced footprint. The combined use of advanced, multiple axes delta pick and place robots, with custom-designed gripping tools, provides maximum functionality and performance tailored to customer needs.
The automated product picker allows the selection of multiple products at once, minimizing the back-and-forth motions and improving the efficiency of the system. Products are selected and dropped individually in the tray, reducing the chances of mispositioning and the occasions for product damage, offering the superior precision and care in the handling of the products.
Finally, the automation available on the Trave Sinfonia allows for single and dual lane delivery, possesses a fast unlocking mechanism for easy repeatable usage, and delivers untouched final tray quality with minimized chances for any contamination.

The latest vacuum skin packaging innovations from G. Mondini are Hybric Flat 3D and SLIMFRESH. Both packages are made using TRAVE Platform technology and incorporate a high performance recyclable, moisture resistant paperboard backing that provides both a longer shelf life and dramatically improved presentation for protein products. The packages allow for aesthetic product presentation as well as front and back surfaces for graphics, eliminating the need for labels. They have an easy open feature, may be hung vertically and maintain food safety by being leak-proof.
Of particular interest to all customers using skin pack technology is the joint venture between Mondini and Sealed Air of Darfresh on Tray applications. Sealed Air has long been the leader in skin pack materials with their Darfresh film and Mondini is the world leader in tray sealing technology. They have partnered to provide a system that cuts the film prior to sealing and only uses enough film to cover the tray. No scrap is generated between packages nor is any wound up on a scrap rewind mandrel. Advantages:

The latest vacuum skin packaging innovations from G. Mondini are Hybric Flat 3D and SLIMFRESH. Both packages are made using TRAVE Platform technology and incorporate a high performance recyclable, moisture resistant paperboard backing that provides both a longer shelf life and dramatically improved presentation for protein products. The packages allow for aesthetic product presentation as well as front and back surfaces for graphics, eliminating the need for labels. They have an easy open feature, may be hung vertically and maintain food safety by being leak-proof.
Of particular interest to all customers using skin pack technology is the joint venture between Mondini and Sealed Air of Darfresh on Tray applications. Sealed Air has long been the leader in skin pack materials with their Darfresh film and Mondini is the world leader in tray sealing technology. They have partnered to provide a system that cuts the film prior to sealing and only uses enough film to cover the tray. No scrap is generated between packages nor is any wound up on a scrap rewind mandrel. Advantages:

- Smaller tools allow for faster evacuation and cycle times

Trave Tray Sealer - The Unique Component that Sets it Apart
Unique to G. Mondini, the mechanical seal generator is the key component of the Trave. It creates the sealing force internally, it does not rely on or is affected by external sources such as flows, pressure, temperatures, etc. Cycle after cycle it creates exactly the same sealing process in terms of motion and sealing force.
